We loved seeing the snow, seeing the snow-capped mountains and cheese. All the cheese and wine. We stayed in Vevey but made day trips out to nearby cities like Geneva, Lausanne, Bern, and Les Rousses in France.

In Vevey, we loved walking by the lake and went on a self-guided tour that hit up places like the Alimentarium (with the Fork in the lake), Charlie Caplin Statute, The Nest Cafe and Museum, and the downtown shops and restaurants.

In Geneva, we did a walking tour of the major parts of the city. Lausanne, we attempted to go to the Olympic Museum (it was closed), went to Christmas Markets, another walking tour and had a nice French dinner. Bern was a fun all day excursion where we visited the zoo and the main downtown strip by the Zytglogge (the clock tower). Les Rousses was so exciting to me because I love fondue – and nowhere is better than in France surrounded by snow. Vin Chaud (hot wine) wasn’t so bad either. 😉

Despite us being jet lagged for most of the time we were there (we took advantage and had late night cheese and wine party) – we did so much! Switzerland is such a kid-friendly destination. It was easy to drive around too! Definitely worth a visit, even in the middle of winter. [/qbox][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
