June is a beginning of summer in San Francisco, which means it’s usually a mix of warm days followed by Karl the Fog chilling the city. If you are visiting San Francisco in the month of June, be sure to bring layers. If you go outside of San Francisco, it will be normal summer weather so you would want to wear your summer clothes, but within San Francisco (in particular in the Avenues like Sunset and Richmond), it will get pretty chilly! A light jacket or cardigan is a must. I usually avoid sandals and flipflops if you plan on spending most of your time in San Francisco this time of the year unless the forecast shows 67 or above!
